The girl’s education is of more importance today than the boy’s, for she is the mother of the future race. It is the duty of all to look after the children. Those without children should, if possible, make themselves responsible for the education of a child.
The calamity caused by the giant tsunami waves that battered the coast on December 26, 2004 was unprecedented in its suddenness and ferocity, causing death and devastation all along the Indian Ocean. It rendered millions of families homeless, left hundreds of children orphaned and plunged the whole area into gloom.
After living in Asia, we found out that many children there, and also in other parts of the world, do not attend school because they do not have the money to attend school and instead are found working on the family farm or providing additional income for their families by working in factories.
Educating girls is key to ensuring the next generation receives an education. According to UNICEF statistics, some 75 per cent of children out of primary school in developing countries have mothers who did not go to school.
You can make a difference in the life of a precious child
With your sponsorship of only $1 day, you can provide education, care and protection to one of these needy children. Your overwhelming support is indeed like a tidal wave of hope.
How does sponsorship work?
When you make a gift contribution to sponsor a child, your contributions will go towards a child for health care, education and nutritious food. If interested, please contact us and we will send you a detailed package that will outline the expectations of the Foundation.
Monitoring process
Hope is Life Foundation is working with volunteers, local government agencies and charitable agencies to identify the orphans who are in need of help, especially for their education. We will closely monitor their progress and provide regular feed back and updates on the sponsored children to our donors.
If interested in sponsoring a child or a village, please e-mail us at: nyogachandra@yahoo.com
