The devastation will only add to the poverty and hardship already faced by the nation of 8.5 million people, where half of the people are unemployed and around 70% live on less than $2 dollars a day.

This tragedy in Haiti has united people around the world in their efforts to help this nation in need. Hope is Life Foundation wants to be a part of this movement and is now currently raising money to restore schools and educational needs for the children of this part of the world.

I, along with my parents, are taking a trip to Haiti during April to provide aid and we need all the help we can get. Our goal is to collect $50,000 US dollars (1,643,749.37 THB). The personal story of a young teenager who started her journey at the age of seven to serve mankind, one child at a time.

I believe in educating girls is more important than educating boys. The first teachers of children are mothers, and we need to educate them first.

I am sixteen years old and currently studying the IB Diploma Program as a senior at Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok. Since I was eleven, I have been traveling around South East Asia to aid in the promotion of educating children, especially girls, in impoverished areas. These young girls will grow to be mothers, who are the first educators of their children. Therefore, I am simply starting a cycle that will continually encourage the education of younger generations.

One of my main goals is to inspire youth to get out there and do small things to help those in need. If each of us do our part, it all adds up. It takes a little bit of effort on their part.” Youth participation in all aspects of human development has become critical in this day and age. As today’s young people shape the world of tomorrow, it is the wish of the Foundation that they be given proper tools, ideas and guidance to get access to all discussions relating to education, human values and involvement in servicing humanity.
